Chuparosa

In areas of Mexico, the hummingbird is called a “Chuparosa”.
The Chuparosa Bush (Justicia californica) is a shrub
with 2-lipped long tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds.
This encaustic painting titled “Chuparosa” incorporates images of the humming bird as well as the flower of the hummingbird bush.
